Humans will not survive without plants. Qiyuan Joy Fish Ruida International Kindergarten Yale Seahorse class followed Qiyuan’s educational philosophy of “Touch their hearts,Teach them what they need” and carried out a series of educational activities with the theme of “plants”. Understand the components of plants, experience the close relationship between plants and humans, and feel the colorfulness of the plant world.

 Activity One: Plant Components

        The story shares "The Plant Components." It is known that plants consists of roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruits. Observe two potted (rooted, non-rooted) plants that bloom in the pot, explore the results that appear when the plant is missing the root, and understand the importance of the root to the plant.

Activity two: The role of stems

Children practice, actively participate in, scientific exploration. Insert celery into a bottle filled with colored water to see if the celery changes color and how much water is absorbed by the plant. Learn how to transport water to the top of the plant and explore the role of the stem.

Activity three: Edible plants

Boldly introduce, try and be happy to share. Introduce your favorite vegetables and share them with your friends. Children try to classify plants by different parts in the game. Through the game they know that some plants they can eat stems and some they can eat fruit.

 Activity four: Family Extension

      Family Wechat interaction, a total of learning, a total of growth, to create an English learning atmosphere, improve the ability to express children's oral English.

In this series of thematic activities, children use various senses to learn, observe, explore, and perceive that plants are closely related to our lives in the process of operation, inspire young children's desire to explore plants, and cultivate young children get close to plants and love the beautiful emotions of nature.
