PART 2. Pippa: But parrots are cool! Dad: Parrots peck (啄) things and make a mess (混乱). Sam: I will clear up the mess, Dad. Mom: Parrots cost a lot of money. Pippa: I will pay for the parrot, Mom. Granny: Get a parrot!
PART 3. The kids went on and on. Mom and Dad got fed up (厌倦的). They had a think. Mom: The kids are very good with pets. Dad: Perhaps we can get them a dog. Granny: Get a parrot. Get a parrot. Mom: Granny, you are not helping.
PART 4. They all went to the pet shop to look at some dogs. Mom: That dog is very sweet. Sam: It’s okay. Parrot: Get a parrot! Get a parrot! Mom: Granny, you are not helping. Granny: That was not me. It was that parrot! Pippa: It can say things! Dad: Gosh! What a clever parrot! Mom: The kids will go on and on until we get that parrot. Dad: So will Granny. Mom: And now, the parrot is nagging (唠叨) us too! Dad: It is a very clever parrot! Okay, let’s get it.
