Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison communicates with Qi Yuan students
 


   January 26th is Australia's "National Day", "Australia Day". On the day more than two centuries ago, British captain Arthur Phillips and 11 ships loaded with prisoners from Jackson Harbor (now Sydney) ) Landing in Australia for the first time.

   In the morning, the federal celebration ceremony was held under the Capitol Hill. The delegation of Qiyuan International School led by President Wang Yaosheng was invited to attend the ceremony and interacted with the Australian Prime Minister, Prime Minister Scott Morrison. 
  


   At 9 o'clock in the morning, the ceremony officially began, and the honor guards who stood by the flagpoles raised the Australian flag slowly. In the sky, the jet plane flew over the lawn, and then the lakeside salute rang. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Governor Peter Cosgrove delivered speeches. Prime Minister Morrison also issued a citizenship certificate to new immigrants who are naturalized today.

   At the same time, under the guidance of local radio reporters, a  Qi Yuan international school student  with a press card , quietly began to “transfer” to the side of the Linhu platform, waiting for the reception of the state leaders.

 

   Sure enough, Prime Minister Morrison first appeared at the far end of the camera. He enthusiastically extended his right hand to the Kaiyuan student. Chen’s first classmate first shook hands with the prime minister.

 

   The Prime Minister has a cordial exchange with everyone to meet the photo requirements. Later, the Australian Governor Peter Cosgrove came and shook hands with the students. Admiral Angus Campbell, commander-in-chief of the Australian Defence Force, also inquired about the trip of Qiyuan teachers and students to Australia and took a group photo with them.

 

   It is reported that the Kaiyuan International School delegation opened its visit to Australia on the 24th and was interviewed by the Australian Governor, the Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the National Defence Force and the Mayor of the City of Olbri. Later, Qiyuan teachers and students will also visit the Department of Multiculturalism of the Australian Capital Territory Government.

   A Qiyuan student who has visited more than 20 countries said that he has never received such frequent interviews from central to local leaders in any country. The experience of visiting Australia has been unusual and unprecedented.
